The following Terms of Use govern your access and use of the sunride app.
These Terms of Use govern your use of the sunride application (the "App"). By registering and using the App, you agree to be bound by these terms.
We process your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described therein.
User-generated content (GPX files): You retain all rights to your uploaded GPX files. If you save a route as a favorite, the GPX file is permanently stored in the application database and deleted upon account deletion. By uploading content, you grant sunride a simple, non-exclusive license to process and store that content solely to provide the App's services.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union and purchase a paid subscription or the Travel Pass, you have a statutory right of withdrawal.
Withdrawal period: You may withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period begins on the day the contract is concluded.
Exercising your right: To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Martin Förstemann, 9000 St. Gallen, Switzerland, info@sunride-weather.com) of your decision by an unequivocal statement (e.g. by email). To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient to send your withdrawal notice before the withdrawal period expires.
Effects of withdrawal: If you validly withdraw, we will reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay, and in any event within 14 days of the day we receive your withdrawal notice. We will use the same means of payment you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise.
Early expiry for digital content/services: Your right of withdrawal expires early if you have expressly agreed that we begin providing the service before the withdrawal period ends, and you have simultaneously acknowledged that you lose your right of withdrawal once the contract is fully performed. We obtain this consent and acknowledgment before payment via a separate confirmation during checkout. Without this confirmation, your right of withdrawal does not expire early.

The weather forecasts displayed in the App are sourced from external data providers (in particular Open-Meteo and/or MET Norway, depending on configuration) and are for informational purposes only. We provide no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the weather forecasts. Weather forecasts must not be used as the basis for critical decisions (e.g. safety decisions during your ride). Users act at their own risk. The same applies to the clothing and nutrition recommendations offered in the App: these are non-binding suggestions with no guarantee of completeness or individual suitability.
The App uses external services to provide its features:
These third-party providers are subject to their own terms of service and privacy policies. sunride is not responsible for their services, downtime, data loss, or data protection practices. By using sunride, you acknowledge that your data is transmitted to these services.
The App is provided "as is" without any guarantee of continuous availability. We strive for reliable operation but accept no responsibility for downtime, delays, or interruptions. Regular maintenance and updates may occur without prior notice and may cause temporary downtime.
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use, inability to use, or malfunction of the App, including data loss, lost profits, or indirect damages, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
You may request deletion of your account at any time through the App settings. Upon deletion, all your personal data — including your rider and performance profile, wardrobe and nutrition data, GPX files, and favorites — will be permanently removed (subject to legal retention obligations). Your clothing recommendation feedback is not deleted but anonymized instead, and retained in that form to help improve the App (see Privacy Policy). Any active subscription is cancelled at the end of the current billing period.
The sunride application, including all content, features, software, and designs, is the property of Martin Förstemann or his licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or use the App or its content for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify you of material changes via the App.
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of St. Gallen, Switzerland. This does not affect any mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country where you have your habitual residence, to the extent such provisions cannot be excluded by choice of law under applicable private international law.
